Support for Every Step of the Early Years
At **Little Roots Wellness**, we believe families shouldn't have to navigate the early years alone. Our programs and services are designed to support children, expectant parents, parents, and caregivers through education, early childhood development, safety, wellness, and connections to community resources.
Our services are growing alongside our organization. Some services are available now, while additional programs are being developed through community partnerships, funding, and future expansion.
Home visiting program
Our home visiting services are designed to bring family support and early childhood education directly to families in a comfortable, familiar environment.
Home visiting may include prenatal education, child development information, parent-child activities, family goal setting, developmental support, parenting education, and connections to community resources.
Our goal is to build strong relationships with families while helping parents and caregivers feel confident in supporting their child's development from the very beginning.
Early Childhood & Development
Little Roots Wellness is developing early learning opportunities designed around the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and young children.
Children learn through play, relationships, exploration, and everyday experiences. Our approach will support cognitive, language, physical, social-emotional, and school-readiness development while recognizing parents and caregivers as an important part of their child's learning.
Infant Massage Education
Infant massage provides parents and caregivers with an opportunity to slow down, connect, and learn nurturing techniques they can use with their baby.
Through guided education, caregivers learn infant massage techniques that can encourage bonding, positive interaction, communication, and relaxation while learning to recognize and respond to their baby's ques.
Child Passenger Safety
Child passenger safety education helps parents and caregivers better understand how to safely transport their children.
Services may include car-seat education, assistance with proper use and installation, education about choosing an appropriate seat for a child's age and size, and referrals to additional child passenger safety resources when needed.
Little Roots Wellness is also working toward expanding child passenger safety opportunities for families in our rural communities.
Developmental Screenings & Referrals
Understanding how a child is growing and developing can help families celebrate progress and recognize when additional support may be helpful.
Little Roots Wellness plans to provide developmental screening opportunities and help families understand results, identify appropriate next steps, and connect with community providers or early-intervention resources when additional evaluation or services are recommended.
Screening is not a diagnosis. It is a tool that can help families better understand their child's development.
Family Resource navigation
Finding the right resource shouldn't require families to make endless phone calls or figure everything out by themselves.
Little Roots Wellness helps families identify and connect with community resources that may address needs such as food, housing, healthcare, childcare, transportation, early intervention, education, child safety, and other family supports.
When we cannot provide a service directly, our goal is to help families find someone who can.
Parent & Caregiver Education
Parents and caregivers are a child's first and most important teachers.
Little Roots Wellness provides educational opportunities designed to give families practical information they can use in everyday life. Topics may include child development, parenting, family wellness, infant care, child safety, school readiness, parent-child interaction, and community resources.
Educational opportunities may be offered individually, through workshops, community events, or as part of other Little Roots programs.
Family & Community Outreach
Strong families are supported by strong communities.
Little Roots Wellness participates in community outreach, family education, child-safety activities, resource sharing, and collaborative events designed to make information and services easier for rural families to access.
We welcome opportunities to collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, early childhood programs, community organizations, first responders, local businesses, and other organizations serving children and families.
Future Programs
Little Roots Wellness has a larger vision for rural early childhood and family services.
As funding, partnerships, staffing, and facilities are established, we plan to continue expanding opportunities for **home visiting, center-based early learning, family wellness, developmental support, child safety, and coordinated family services**.
We believe growth should be thoughtful and sustainable. New programs will be announced as they become ready and available to families.
